I'm Aparna Shukla, and I look forward to working with you to discover and achieve your career aspirations. To share more about myself, my two decades of experience comprise a multitude of roles.

I have counseled and placed numerous students in ​the top universities across the globe and also supported ​renowned international universities to recruit their first ​batch of meritorious Indian applicants. The organizations I ​worked with include ‘for profit’ and ‘not-for-profit’ ​establishments wherein, I managed small and large teams, ​and also worked as a self-starter. Moreover, I am well versed ​in the ‘traditional’ form of career counseling as an ​accredited facilitator for Strong Interest Inventory- SII® ​(Myer-Briggs), but also specialized in the ‘contemporary’ ​(non-traditional) framework suited for 21st Century careers.​
I started by counseling mid-career professionals looking for MBA, thereafter adding Masters, PhD and College Counseling to my suite of services. Further, I have lived and studied in India, Switzerland and the UK, and traveled extensively across the world (US, Canada, EU, AUS, South East Asia). These travels included campus visits to some of the top universities within these destinations. All these multi-dimensional and cross-cultural academic and counseling experiences make me a highly receptive and versatile professional with a 360° outlook and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

Within counseling, I specialize in developing my client's career narrative wherein, I work closely with the counselee to craft their individual career story. Instead of the usual 'which personality type you are like', I focus on identifying the distinctiveness of the individual i.e. what is their unique story, theme and purpose. The approach is particularly useful in helping my students put together a compelling application for international, domestic, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. During admissions interviews with prestigious institutions such as UCLA, Babson, Boston College, UNC Chapel-Hill, Cornell, and Penn, many of my students received exceptional praise for their essays.
